The SEO process can sometimes be more challenging for a larger company than for a smaller company. There are more hands in the pot and more red tape that can lengthen the process and sometimes lead to a standstill. While SEO is a long term online marketing strategy, it's still important for the process to keep moving along. Here's a best practice checklist for a larger organization that is looking to hire an SEO firm. Designate one person to be in charge. There should only be one liaison with the SEO firm to eliminate any confusion. There's no need to have the Marketing Director, VP of Marketing, Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, PR Manager, Web Designer, Web Developer, and IT Manager all on a conference call, especially during the initial phases of the campaign.
