The decision to hire an SEO company isn't made lightly. The types of businesses that hire a firm as opposed to hiring someone in house to do the work typically have a limited budget and SEO work requires a significant investment. Of course, that investment is well worth it since a positive search engine presence today is so important. There are many things to consider when researching an SEO company. For instance, if you are hiring an SEO firm to improve your search engine presence, so shouldn't they have a good one themselves? While it's tough to rank for "SEO firm", try narrowing it down by location. For example if the company is located in Denver, try searching for "Denver SEO firm". If the company is legit they should appear within the first few pages for those search terms.

How to Prove SEO Is Working For Your Website

This is a very simple metric but it can speak volumes when trying to prove the value of your SEO campaign. Simply keep an eye on the percentage of traffic that is coming to your site from the search engines. Most sites, unless you have a huge brand like IBM or Apple and consumers search for you by name directly, are going to see that a lion's share of their traffic is coming from the search engines. For instance, in the graph below you'll see that for this site 73% of their traffic was coming from the search engines (for the set time frame anyway). If they compared that percentage to the same length of time to before they implemented their SEO campaign and saw that organic traffic account for 68% of their visitors they'd know that SEO was having a positive impact. A 5% jump might not sound like much, but it could mean thousands of extra visitors

Achieve Natural Links with B2B Content

Link building as part of a B2B SEO program has evolved over the years. Inbound links pointing to a site are what help to convey trust to the search engines. If a site has a link from an outside source, it means that the site is trusted by that source. In the early days of SEO the focus was on the number of links as the search engines weren't initially sophisticated enough to determine the quality of the link. However, the search engines continue to improve upon their algorithm and link quality is what now matters the most. Instead of focusing on "link building", B2B marketers should really be thinking about "link achieving". So how does "link achieving" differ from "link building"? Well, technically it is the same thing, but it's just a different way of looking at link building.

What Information is the B2B Customer Looking For?

B2Bs can struggle with ongoing content creation because they think that there is nothing to write about or that anything they write about is boring. First of all, there is ALWAYS something to write about. No matter what industry you are in there are plenty of topics that can engage target audience members. Is Your Website In the Google Sandbox?

In order to measure the quality of a site and the kind of experience that it will provide, Google needs to figure out what the "trust" of the website is. Since trust can only be earned over time, it means that brand new websites don't have it yet.
