I was talking with a prospective SEO client a few weeks ago whose domain name was essentially citystatelawyer.com (imagine something like BostonMALaywerLLC.com). She had registered the domain name a few years prior because she read/heard/someone told her that a good way to rank well in the search engines was to create a keyword rich domain name. As a lawyer that caters to a specific region, creating a domain name that was citystatelawyer.com seemed like a great way to get to the top of the SERPs quickly and help her business grow.

Interview with Content Marketing Expert Ann Handley

Recently I had the chance to interview content marketing expert Ann Handley. If you've ever researched content marketing tips and best practices chances are you have come across Ann and her expert advice. Does PPC Help SEO?

It seems to be a common question that new SEO clients ask. "If I run an AdWords PPC campaign in Google, will it help with my SEO?". The thought is that if you are paying Google some money, maybe they will help you out organically, too. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it). Google doesn't give any preference to websites that run PPC campaigns when it comes to their organic listing. However, running an AdWords PPC campaign can have an indirect impact on the success of an SEO campaign.
