Don't Neglect to Revisit On Site SEO

When getting started with an SEO campaign, the first phase is on site optimization. This phase includes conducting keyword research and selecting the most relevant keywords that have search volume for every page of the site. These keywords are then implemented in the body content on the page, the meta tags, and the customized URL. Once the site has been completely optimized and a site map has been generated and submitted it's time to move on to phase two, which is link building.  Link building is known as the ongoing part of an SEO campaign because inbound links pass on a certain "trust factor" to the search engine spiders. A website that has lots of inbound links from relevant, quality sources will be viewed more favorably than one that doesn't. Link building is the primary focus of an SEO campaign once the website has been optimized, but that doesn't mean that you no longer need to pay attention to on site factors. It's easy to keep yourself consumed with link building for months or even years. When was the last time that you took a look at your on site SEO? If it's been awhile, it's time to revisit it.
